Anthony Bennett

Anthony's exhibitions of 2006 and 2007 sold out prior to opening and there is currently a waiting list of 6 months for his work. He won the New Generation Art Award at Art Sydney 2007 and was featured as one of the 'hot new things' of Queensland, painting on the ABC TV Sunday Arts Programme in 2007. He is a finalist in the Archibald Prize 2008 and the painting he did of INXS' drummer, 'portrait of Jon Farriss in a Kylie t-shirt', has inspired the 'Drummer' series of portraits, and led directly to this exhibition which he describes as landscapes that happen to be face-shaped.
